A performative act by the artist Finja Sander will be auctioned. The execution of the newly created performance will be based on the temporal and local specifications of the highest bidder.
The highest bidder also agrees to contact the artist in order to plan and realize the purchased performance in the following year, 2022, and to make it accessible to the general public free of charge. At the end of the auction, the highest bidder will receive a form designed by the artist, which will manifest the purchase of the performance.
Finja Sander dedicates herself exclusively to the medium of performance. To date, she has created over 27 performative works, which take the form of live performances, short interventions, as well as photographic/filmic documentations. Her performances have been shown at C/O Berlin (2019), Museum für Fotografie, Berlin (2021), and Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin (2021), among others. During the performative acts, the artist understands her own body as a material, as an object that reshapes existing structures and images, adds new perspectives, and intervenes in preexisting situations.
