"There is a special connectedness and impartiality between you and the person dancing next to you in a club that I wanted to capture in the videos for Klangkuenstler.
Since the beginnings of my creative career, I have identified with fast, repetitive, electronic music. My participation in the Berlin techno scene grew naturally. Until today, I am fascinated by the contrast of the familiar yet uniqueness of all participants in this subculture. Keeping the origins and style of the ever celebrated techno in mind, a series of authentic, analogue videos were created, each documenting the movements and body language of one representative of this subculture." I AM JOHANNES (*1988) is a cinematographer and director based in Berlin. After finishing his design studies at the UDK University of the Arts Berlin, he started working as a camera operator Director of Photography on film productions. He continued shaping his inventive and intuitive style with the aim to always feature a tickling edginess and a strong rythm-driven flow in his motion picture projects.
