The series "adopt a revolution" from 2013/2014 refers to an initiative that (now for 10 years) supports non-violent emancipatory projects in Syria. In the realm of drawing, this multi-part series (to which the sheet offered here belongs) reflects the appropriation of foreign and unfamiliar gestures via the medium of collage. Things, shreds, remnants that previously had a completely different function can become a line and at the same time refuse individual authorship. Be it a strip of dried hot glue, the image of a bicycle tire, or withered petals to the rivet that perforates the paper.
