The Romanian-born photo artist and long-time lecturer at the Vienna Academy Peter Dressler (1942–2013) created “photo stories” from the Viennese street scene in the 1970s, among other things in the form of photo tableaus with serially arranged details from the street scene. Many discovered the artist late through his book of photographs published in 1989 or even only in 2016 in his posthumous retrospective at Kunst Haus Wien. The two photo tableaus on offer come from a first-hand Austrian collection.
