From the series "Porcelaine déstabilisée"
In her artistic work, Inken Reinert draws on modernist formal vocabulary and transfers it into the present through the re-actualisation and transfer of material from everyday life, interior/architecture and design. Inken Reinert was born in Jena in 1965. She studied painting at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee from 1993-1999. In 2000 she was a master student of Werner Liebmann, from 2008-2009 assistant to Julie Mehretu. She is represented at national and international exhibitions and has received a number of prizes and scholarships, including from the Berlin Senate, the Stiftung Kunstfonds, the IFA and the Kulturstiftung Thüringen.
