Painting of death character with sculpted faux stone frame. The piece is part of a series that replicates designs found on black, mass produced t-shirts that usually depict death figures. These shirts represent a commercial and contemporary version of the classical Vanitas still-life paintings. By redirecting the designs to their original medium the artist reconnects the present to the past.
Each Painting is framed with a hand sculpted and painted frame.
