In his work, Lukas Troberg deals intensively with phenomena that refer to his past as a graffiti sprayer and the aesthetics associated with it. DRIPS describes a stylized line sprayed on the wall along which paint drips down. Unlike its real-life counterpart, however, this line has elevated itself into the third dimension, becoming an object that certainly borrows from fetishism. In contrast to the secret, quickly thrown down mark of the ’turf’, DRIPS is created in weeks of handwork and thus presents itself as if from one cast, squiggly and flawlessly shiny.
