Inna Levinson (*1984 in Lviv, Ukraine, studierte in Prag und Berlin) hat in den vergangenen Jahre eine Maltechnik entwickelt, bei der sie Ölfarbe mit Malmesser auf Jute aufträgt. Die durch den grobporigen Untergrund entstehende Oberfläche erinnert an Pixel, die sich, wie ihre digitalen Bildvorlagen, auf auf unsere Wahrnehmung der Welt durch den Bildschirm beziehen. Ihre Arbeiten können so wie ein Spiegelbild medialer und gesellschaftlicher Entwicklungen gelesen werden, bei dem flüchtige, teils erotisch konnotierte Eindrücke durch die Übertragung auf Leinwand haptische Gestalt annehmen.
Inna Levinson (born 1984 in Lviv, Ukraine) graduated in 2014 with a MFA in Fine Arts from the University of the Arts (UdK) in Berlin. Prior to this, she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts (Avu) and the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design (VŠUP) in Prague, Czech Republic.
