technique   The balloon stele consists of a base with water ballast and a rechargeable battery, a flexible carbon fiber rod and a balloon head illuminated with white LEDs. The balloon can be filled with air or helium. An integrated power converter and rechargeable battery allow direct power connection or 16 hours of independent operation.

In 2004 Christopher founded the design studio WHITEvoid. WHITEvoid develops spatial installations, stagings and products for museums, exhibitions and fairs as well as festivals and concerts. Christopher Bauder has shown his installations and performances at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the MUTEK Festival in Montreal, CTM & Transmediale Festival in Berlin, The Festival of Lights in Lyon and the National Museum of Fine Arts in Taiwan.

He became internationally known for the art installation "LICHTGRENZE/LIGHT BORDER", which he created in 2014 together with his brother Marc for the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. He is now making one of the illuminated stelae from that time available for the first time.

Christopher will donate the proceeds from the auction to the JULI Jugendhilfe Lichtenberg!
