The Insect Boxes belong to a series called The Paper Diaries. In essence, The Paper Diaries is an archive of ideas in the form of sculptural compositions connected with and related to forms and shapes: organic, geometrical, mathematical and musical. The paper sculptures are often symmetrical but not always. Cut out of paper, the sculptural compositions are then pinned with entomological pins in entomological cabinet drawers. Each Insect Box is unique. Each paper composition is unique as is each cabinet drawer which previously was used but now rejected and discarded out of the beetle collection of The Natural History Museum Berlin.
