"Fatigued volcano” is part of the installation "Transience", which consists of multi-part individual ceramic works. This piece is about the impact of human culture and their colonial structures on the land and nature. Yasmin Bassir uses her hands as brushes and clay and earth as her paint, researching how to experience painting haptically. Through this process she creates and reconstructs an atmosphere that refers to her memories of places that over time have become deserted landscapes.
