Delia Keller takes enigmatic risks in her photographic works: Functional things lost in the play of light and shadow, structures of a nail-holed fabric covering that almost dematerialise on closer inspection, haunting chiaroscuro moods. "It is an irritating world of cold perfection. (...) a blue and grey colour mood, a northern world shrouded in melancholy, a flawless and strangely static world at the moment of capture. Everything seems to be frozen forever, to remain or freeze in a nameless abandonment," writes Luminita Sabau about Keller’s work. And so only the title "Before Midnight" suggests that minimalist basic tension of before/after, which separates the day from the next and thus transfers the static of things back into temporality.

After studying art in Braunschweig and Amsterdam and working for several months in China, the USA, France and Norway, the artist, graphic designer and lecturer now lives in Berlin. Delia Keller’s works have been shown at the Berlinische Galerie, the Haus der Fotografie, Deichtorhallen Hamburg, the Städel Museum, Frankfurt am Main, the Haus der Fotografie Moscow, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Monterrey, Mexico, and the Museo de Arte Moderna, São Paulo, among others.
