We used to gather around these suburban ’water features’ on weekends. The tunnels would act as amplifiers for our music. I still remember the musty smell, and the excitement in finding one. This series reminds me of Courbet painting the caves of the coastline where he’s from. Similarly for me, these tunnels hold such a mysterious potential- who knows how deep you could go, what could be found, and what memories made.
