This painting was made during an artist residency in Vyksa, Russia. Vyksa AiR is in the middle of the forest. The painting shows the cupboard of my friendly old Russian neighbor, to whom I could only communicate with through hand gestures. Once in a while I was allowed to rub the small magical pots, hoping not to find a mean ghost, but instead yummy Russian delicacies.
