As long as the red button is held down, the grey machine prints a receipt. The longer the button is pressed, the more extensive the printout becomes. Each person who presses the button completes the sculpture.
Several machines are installed in different places around the world. With each printed receipt, a unique sculpture is created that realises time and space.

Ivo Wessel (2021 08 03 13:39:55) Tolle Arbeit. Ich habe ein Exemplar, dessen Knopf ich seit zwei Jahren praktisch jeden Tag um 12:34:56 für 7 sec. drücke. Gelingt mir auch fast immer <g>. Wie Judy Lybke sagen würde: „Das ist nicht einfach nur ein Kunstwerk, das ist schon ein Mitbewohner“. Die aktuell ausgestellten TIME MACHINEs kann man übrigens auf tm.maltebartsch.de sehen – auch, wer als letztes gedrückt oder eine Schnapszahl ergattert hat... |

Ivo Wessel (2021 08 04 21:32:59) Das ist ein inzwischen 3 cm hohen Stapel, beschwert & glattgedrückt von einer Fernbedienung von Joep van Liefland – aus Bronze. Schön schwer! Eigentlich müsste man die Streifen noch vorm Verblassen schützen. Aber sie sind ja auch online für die nächste Ewigkeit gesichert. Und die Fernbedienung ist extrem UV- und blickdicht. Ganz viel Den! |
