slot 7: visitmytent
part of auction Chapter 2A home may be a castle, but an artist’s studio is more akin to a tent: it is functional, it is often temporary, and it may even be cosy. For sure it’s a highly personal place that mimics its owner and bares traces of every work compiled and accomplished there. visitmytent.com wants to give insight into the creation process, as well as make connections and networks visible and thus create alternative approaches to art. The objective is to develop an ethnography of artistic work places and practices, specifically taking into account artistic ways of existence, often characterized by scarce resources and precarious social security.
The slot is a little greeting from the artists’ tents with works from: Jim Avignon, Bettina Allamoda, Fehmi Baumbach, Isabelle Borges, Fritz Bornstück, Bram Braam, Anina Brisolla, Joanna Buchowska, Ursula Döbereiner, Frederik Foert, Gepa Hinrichsen, René Holm, Verena Issel, Klaus Killisch, Annekatrin Lemke, MMACHINE, Wolfgang Müller, Manfred Peckl, Barbara Prokop, Bettina Semmer, Alsino Skowronnek, Tracey Snelling, Charlie Stein, Lukas Troberg, and Hansa Wißkirchen. As part of the chapter 2 the slot visitmytent presents emerging as well as established artists who are already or will soon be presented on the platform.
